This week’s question: “What is the most unusual tip you have heard for taking care of your teeth?” This question is sponsored by the Oral Health Promotion Division. To take part, drop us a line via this form or email us at [email protected] by 12pm on Wednesday, November 13. Tell us your name, age and school.

Kadence Ma Cheuk-nam, 14, The Methodist Church HK Wesley College: Back to the time when I was still a kid. I would be extremely grateful to see my grandmother, who passed away during Covid. I regret not talking or interacting with her that much. I would use this chance to make her happy.

Gaille Yung Ka-ching, 12, St Paul’s Convent School: My school principal’s house. She lives near the school and can return home immediately after work. I think it would be convenient, well hidden – almost no one would be able to find it – and safe to live at.

Cindy Wong Wai-sum, 15, Leung Shek Chee College: The door seemed to hide endless possibilities, and I could not help but imagine that it would take me to the front row of a Blackpink concert. I am a superfan, but getting to the VIP section is not easy. I imagine bright lights on stage, and the beating music and the screams of fans fill the air. The girl group members’ charming smiles would touch my heart. Although this is just my imagination, I hope one day I open a “door” and realise this dream: meeting my favourite idol.

Li Lok-ying, 14, Yan Oi Tong Tin Ka Ping Secondary School: A secret garden. A school is a place of education, but our mental health really needs to be taken seriously. These days, school can be very demoralising, and students are exhausted. This secret garden would be full of flowers, and I would lie on soft grass and my mood would be lifted.

Kwan Ching-shong, 17, Tsuen Wan Government Secondary School: A hidden garden brimming with vibrant flowers and towering trees. The air is sweet with jasmine, and strange, magical creatures roam freely. A cobblestone path leads me past luminescent butterflies and curious furry animals towards a tranquil pond reflecting the sky. This enchanting world feels timeless and untouched, a sanctuary where imagination thrives, and the impossible becomes possible, inviting me to explore its endless wonders.

Top 10: What we would do if we received a mysterious message from the future

Sonia Tam Hin-ching, 14, Pooi To Middle School: A cosy and quiet place for me to study. In school, I am always disturbed by the noise that comes from the ground floor, so I hope there is a place for me behind the door with a pleasant ambience where I can concentrate on my learning.

Claire Ng Wai-yi, 17, Carmel Alison Lam Foundation Secondary School: A secret library that most people cannot access. Maybe the room had been hidden for decades, and only certain people with special qualities or abilities could find it. It would be a hidden paradise where you can bury your head in a sea of books. You would discover ancient books and mysterious objects that hold the secrets to solving some of the world’s greatest mysteries, like who Jack the Ripper really was or what the universe is made of. How cool would that be?

Ethan Jiang, 14, Immaculate Heart of Mary College: Mars. Because aliens might have created this door. There has been a long-running rumour that extraterrestrial creatures or aliens want to invade Earth. They plan to take control of Hong Kong first because of its excellent location and status as an economic centre. It would not hurt to say hello to them and get to know more about these mysterious beings. Their presence might even create an advanced AI-driven world. A UFO in the sky would no longer be just science fiction. It would be real, and fun!

Osman Pasha, 11, West Island School: Three words: straight to detention! Because we are not supposed to go to unauthorised areas.

Ho Sum-ying, 12, Christian Alliance S.C. Chan Memorial College: The door opens to a room with nobody inside and a letter on a table. The letter may be written by a former student or someone else about funny things that happened in their school life. They might ask me to write down something about my school life – let’s see who will be the next lucky person to find it!
