These 10 films premiering in 2022 have been postponed at least once, if not twice, due to the pandemic. Hopefully, they won’t be delayed again!
The Batman
This Batman reboot stars Robert Pattinson as the titular main character. The DC Comics film will see the superhero uncover corruption in Gotham City while pursuing the Riddler, a serial killer who targets the city’s elite.
The movie was scheduled to hit theatres on June 25, 2021, then delayed to October 1, 2021. Without further push backs, it will finally premiere on March 4, 2022.

Downton Abbey 2: A New Era
The sequel to the historical drama Downton Abbey (2019) returns with the principal cast from the first film, including Maggie Smith and Jim Carter. It was originally scheduled to be released on December 22, 2021. The current release date is March 18, 2022.
Morbius
Another superhero movie, starring Academy Award winner Jared Leto as the living vampire, had its premiere date set for January 28, 2022. However, Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures decided to push its theatrical release to April 1, 2022.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) and the first season of the hit Disney+ series Loki, this film, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange, will further explore the Marvel multiverse.
The pandemic pushed the release from November 2021 to March 25, 2022, and again to its current release date of May 6, 2022.

Starring Chris Pratt, this sci-fi adventure is the third film in the Jurassic World trilogy. It is now scheduled to roll out on June 10, 2022, one year after its initial release date of June 11, 2021.
Minions: The Rise of Gru
The beloved characters are back on the big screen! This movie is the sequel to Minions (2015). It is expected to hit cinemas on July 1, 2022, after being postponed from its initial date of July 3, 2020.
Thor: Love and Thunder
Starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tessa Thompson as the Valkyrie, the fourth Thor movie will be released in theatres on July 8, 2022, pushed back from May 6, 2022.

Elvis
A biopic chronicling the life of rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley, this film was set to premiere on October 1, 2021, but the pandemic postponed the date to June 24, 2022.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One)
This computer-animated film is the first of a two-part sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), with part two aiming for a release date in 2023.
Despite a slight delay from its initial April 2022 release, the sequel will swing into cinemas on October 7, 2022.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Marvel opted not to replace King T’Challa after actor Chadwick Boseman died from colon cancer in 2020. Instead, the Black Panther sequel will focus on the world of Wakanda and T’Challa’s sister Shuri, played by actress Letitia Wright.
It was originally scheduled for May 6, 2022, but pushed to November 11, 2022 because of Covid-19 and Wright’s injury.
