Recap by phillip woo

Viva Graciousness led from gate six and never looked back to win geared down in the concluding stages for a first win at his 14th local start. Courier Magic ran on late near the inside for second after making his run five back on the fence. He can bob up at any moment after placing in two of four starts this term. Smart City kept on well to finish a close third after a box-seat run. He was able to build on a rallying fourth last Wednesday and a win is around the corner in this grade. Super Baby produced a good bid late for fourth after being ridden for luck near the rear from gate 12. He's finished in the mix in his past four starts this term. Early favourite Can't Go Wong was getting going late for fifth near the outside after settling two from the rear and three wide in the run from a tricky gate. He wasn't suited by the race conditions. Strongest Boy had his chance after a one-out, one-back run but only plodded over the last 100m. It was just another OK performance this season. Gluck Racer held his ground after a rails run from midfield. Mister Dapper came from last to finish next best from gate 11. He's better at Sha Tin.

He agreed with the Stewards that in retrospect he had desisted from riding his mount out too soon.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Sent for sampling post-race.
