Recap by phillip woo
Early favourite Copartner Prance just won a thrilling battle over Duke Wai after moving to the lead 150m out following a one-off trip travelling third for a fifth straight win and first over the Sha Tin 1,200m. Duke Wai wouldn't go down without a fight when headed for the lead after driving to the lead 270m out following a prominent run on the fence. It was his best run of the campaign, but he is a well-rated runner. Post-time favourite Gorgeous Win ran on steadily to finish a close third after a one-off trip from midfield. He continues to race well with placings. Gummy Gummy got going late from midfield on the fence to just edge Reward Smile for fourth. It was another honest effort. Reward Smile made headway late down the outside after a patient ride one from the rear. It was a pleasing effort after coming up lame last month. Whizz Kid weakened after tracking the leader on the fence. Tomodachi Kokoroe never landed a blow after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He does appear from his past three starts to be on his mark.
