Racing Incident Report
Race Two : (733) - CHAI WAN ROAD HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
Horse No 2 SUPERSONIC (J192) B Thompson Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 3 AURORA LADY (J066) B Avdulla After the race, B Avdulla stated that AURORA LADY was not suited by starting from barrier 1 and that it lay out over the final 400 Metres of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have an intermittent epiglottic entrapment.
Horse No 4 BLAZING WIND (J157) Y L Chung Jumped awkwardly and was bumped shortly after the start by LUCKY MAN which shifted in slightly.
For some distance after the 500 Metres lay out when it raced in restricted room between LUCKY MAN and DAY DAY VICTORY which was positioned tight to the outside of GUSTY FIGHTER which shifted out slightly.
Horse No 5 COLOURFUL WINNER (J312) M L Yeung Near the 250 Metres was directed to the inside of SUPER AXIOM and FAST NETWORK to continue into clear running.
Horse No 6 DAY DAY VICTORY (J423) H Bentley Approaching the 400 Metres bumped with GUSTY FIGHTER.
After the 300 Metres was steadied when crowded between GUSTY FIGHTER and GLORIOUS EXPERT which shifted in.
Horse No 7 FAST NETWORK (J358) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 FLYING LUCK (J339) C Y Ho Made contact with the right side of its barrier on jumping and then shortly after the start bumped with DAY DAY VICTORY which shifted in slightly.
After the 200 Metres was shifted to the outside of AURORA LADY to continue into clear running.
Approaching the 50 Metres, when racing greenly, was unable to be ridden out when positioned close to COLOURFUL WINNER which shifted out.
Horse No 9 LUCKY MAN (J315) K Teetan Bumped on jumping.
Near the 400 Metres was momentarily held up behind GLORIOUS EXPERT.
Horse No 10 GRAND NOVA (J323) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 14 GUSTY FIGHTER (J029) M Chadwick Bumped approaching the 400 Metres.
Horse No WINNING MONEY (J116) M Chadwick WINNING MONEY, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 6.6.24 by order of the Stewards (required sedation as fractious when being transported from the Conghua Racecourse to Hong Kong).
Before being allowed to race again, WINNING MONEY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Favourite Fast Network chased the speed from gate nine, hit the front near the 100m marker and edged clear for a smart debut win. He lived up to his trials and clearly has a bright future. Grand Nova worked home nicely on the far side after biding his time one from the rear to just get the better of Talents Supremo for second. He's naturally coming to hand in his three starts. Talents Supremo was doing some nice work late to just miss second prize money after a patient ride three from the rear. It was another honest effort. Cheval Valiant tracked the speed and found a few too good after moving to the lead 300m out. Colourful Winner kept on evenly after travelling in midfield on the grandstand side. He should come on for the run. Flying Luck found a run late to finish next best after making his run at the rear. He appears to have some ability. Aurora Lady whacked on one-paced when asked for an effort travelling better than midfield near the far side.
