Race Nine : (655) - SHELLEY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 HUMBLE STAR (H125) E C W Wong Shortly after the start was steadied away from SPORTS LEGEND which shifted out.
Horse No 2 SPORTS LEGEND (H456) Y L Chung Bumped at the start.
After the race, Y L Chung stated that his mount was disadvantaged by being joined in the lead by SUPER FORTUNE in the early stages and as a result was left without a finishing effort.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 9 HAPPY DAY (G119) K De Melo Jumped only fairly, shifted out and bumped SPORTS LEGEND.
After the race, K De Melo reported that making the turn after the 1000 Metres his mount became unbalanced when it appeared to jump a section on the track.
Horse No 10 KYRUS DRAGON (H396) A Badel From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Wings Of War quickened nicely to claim Super Joy N Fun 60m out following a one-off trip from better than midfield for a first win at his 15th local start. The win was forthcoming after placing in four prior starts. Super Joy N Fun found one too smart after moving to the lead near the 100m following a prominent run along the fence. It was another solid performance up in grade following back-to-back wins to start his career. Kyrus Dragon jumped out of his skin late from the rear of the field to just get the better of Humble Star for third. He was suited by the race tempo but had finished in the mix in recent runs. Humble Star stayed on reasonably well for fourth after a rail run from midfield. It was a good run down in grade with a step up to 1,200m. Super Fortune folded in the run to the wire after rushing forward to lead 900m out from an outside draw. He did not get things to suit. Firming favourite Sports Legend weakened to finish next best after deciding to hand up the lead to Super Fortune. He didn't have race conditions to suit carrying more weight following another win last start.
