Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (487) - LUNG KONG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 2 STAR LINE (J110) H Bowman Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 DREAM PURSUER (G241) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 AEROINVINCIBLE (J180) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 C P ONE (J013) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Horse No 8 FAIRY HORSE (J144) B Thompson After travelling a short distance was hampered when crowded.
Horse No 9 SILVER DESTINY (J096) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly and then was crowded shortly after the start.
Near the 850 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from AEROINVINCIBLE.
After the race, K Teetan reported that his mount raced too keenly in the event and as a result did not finish the race off strongly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 GOLDEN SAMURAI (H024) A Badel From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Lay in in the Home Straight and for a short distance approaching the 400 Metres was positioned close to the heels of SEIZING THE MOMENT when being shifted to that runner's outside.
Horse No 12 AMAZINGTEAMWORK (H488) L Ferraris After travelling a short distance was hampered when crowded between FAIRY HORSE which shifted out and away from STAR LINE and PATCH OF WATCH which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 13 PATCH OF WATCH (H476) Y L Chung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 14 WOODFIRE CHAMP (H292) M L Yeung When caught wide in the early stages was then shifted across behind runners after the 1000 Metres.
Horse No BALLISTIC WIN (J040) C L Chau Withdrawn on 8.3.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (head injury) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter GOLDEN SAMURAI.
Before being allowed to race again, BALLISTIC WIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Favourite Aeroinvincible edged clear after hitting the front near the 100m following a prominent run on the fence for a second up win. Dream Pursuer ran on nicely to grab second 20m out after a one-off trip from just worse than midfield. He relished a step back up to the distance of a win two runs ago. All Riches gradually faded after dictating the pace from gate eight. He was able to build on a fifth on his season debut last month. Golden Samurai came from last at the 1,200m for fourth. He relished the downgrade and return to course and distance of a past win and second from three starts. Amazing Run weakened after drawing level with the leader 200m out following a pace-stalking run. He might not be far off a bottom. Seizing The Moment ran on without threatening after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He likely needs a stronger pace. Star Line just plodded after a handy run outside the eventual winner despite a drop in class. He's still acclimatising.
