Recap by phillip woo
The Good Deal wore down firming favourite Valhalla after his one-out, one-back run to make it three wins from eight starts since joining Douglas Whyte from Michael Chang Chun-wai. He relished returning to the level of his two victories last season but will need to improve on his Class Four results next time. Valhalla had every chance from the inside gate but found one too good after poking his head in front 100m out. It was another honest effort this term. Multimore held on for third after sharing the early lead from the widest barrier. He is a winner waiting to happen based on his four starts this season. Plunged late, Happy Horse grudgingly gave way after leading from gate five under claimer Angus Chung Yik-lai. It was the best of his three runs this term. Dashing Triumph ran on from towards the rear without threatening the placegetters. He might be worth a try over Happy Valley's 1,200m. Fingers Crossed only beat a couple of struggling rivals after making his run one from the rear. He is not racing well. Call Me Teddy slept well after travelling wide without cover forward of midfield.
