Recap by phillip woo
Firming favourite Super Sunny Sing ran on nicely to take control 200m out after fading back to travel second from a middle gate for a sixth win from 12 starts. He's a nice progressive horse. Precise Express stayed on very well to win a battle for second after a wide without cover trip from midfield. He's made a good impression in both starts this term. The Best Peach dashed nicely down the outside to just miss second after a patient ride at the rear of the field. He's run well off the summer break. Specked late Hava Nageela ran on well to grab fourth late after getting out of a traffic jam 200m out from behind midfield. It was a good effort outside his comfort zone on the dirt. Meaningful Star gradually faded over the last 100m after reclaiming the lead 400m out prompting the pace from gate 10. He didn't enjoy the best of runs and does prefer a longer trip. Beauty Live faded to finish next best after a prominent run. He needed the outing. Butterfield made some ground late from behind midfield. He's better suited over longer trips.
