Recap by phillip woo
Odds-on favourite Stoltz kept finding to hold Adios after hitting the front 150m out chasing the leading pair for a sixth 1,000m across both tracks and three on the trot from 14 starts. Adios ran on well to finish a close second after a prominent run. He's a very honest sprinter. Supported late in betting, Kurpany wouldn't go down without a fight dictating the run from gate three. It was another fine effort following an opening day win. Punted late Whizz Kid had his chance after chasing the leader but came up one paced over the last 100m. He's a better Valley horse. Sight Success plugged on without threatening after making his run second last in the seven-horse field. He needed the run and the big weight didn't help. Rewarding Together couldn't make an impression when asked for more following a patient ride two from the rear. He's a better horse over the Valley 1,200m. We Are Hero wasn't beaten far but couldn't turn it up another gear from the rear of the field. He's clearly on his mark.
