Race Six: (61) - NANNING HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1600Meters
SERANGOON was slow to begin.
FOREVER FOLKS was also slow to begin and was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From wide barriers, PROSECCO and AESTHETICISM were also shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 400 Metres, PRESIDENT'S CHOICE was held up for clear running until after passing the 300 Metres and again over the concluding stages, when held up, shifted out and bumped with LUCKY ETERNITY.
After passing the 400 Metres, LUCKY ETERNITY was held up for clear running before shifting out passing the 200 Metres and was again held up over the concluding stages.
AESTHETICISM lay in under pressure over the concluding stages and in doing so momentarily tightened the running of PROSECCO approaching the winning post.
LOOKING COOL raced wide and without cover throughout the race.
After the race, L Ferraris (SMILING COLLECTOR) reported that his mount was not suited when the pace slackened mid-race.
A veterinary inspection of SMILING COLLECTOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

LUCKY ETERNITY, CHANCHENG GLORY and AESTHETICISM were sent for sampling.

Market drifter Chancheng Glory kept on gamely after hitting the front 150m out following a speed-tracking run for an upset win. He was fitter for a 1,400m run and relished both a move to blinkers and step up to 1,600m. Aestheticism dashed strongly down the outside after a patient ride two from the rear to finish a close second. He relished the extra 200m after an eye-catching run over 1,400m and will be saluting shortly. Well-backed late Master Hero found a couple just too good after poking his head in front 300 out following a wide with cover run better than midfield. He's well rated and can win soon. Snowalot ran on reasonably well to finish next best without threatening the top three from better than midfield. It was a pleasing effort. Punted late Prosecco dashed late after a wide trip towards the rear. Favourite Luckly Eternity was held up for a good part of the straight run following a one-off run from midfield. He had clear excuses. President's Choice was short of room at times in the straight run following a rails run from behind midfield. Precise Express ran on without threatening from beyond midfield.
