Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (25) - ADMIRALTY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
DRAGON'S LUCK jumped awkwardly, made heavy contact with the left side of its barrier and lost ground.
JOYFUL HUNTER, which was laying on the left side of its barrier, jumped awkwardly.
JOYFUL HUNTER then commenced to race keenly in the early stages and near the 1000 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of FUN N GLORY.
CHATEAU was slow to begin and then from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
LUCKY ENCOUNTER was held up for clear running on straightening behind SUPER FORTUNE and then near the 350 Metres made contact with CALIFORNIA VANES when improving into a narrow run between SUPER FORTUNE and CALIFORNIA VANES.
From the 400 Metres until the 300 Metres, JOYFUL HUNTER was held up for clear running behind GREENWICH.
JOYFUL HUNTER was then shifted to the inside of GREENWICH and improved into a narrow run between GREENWICH and CALIFORNIA VANES after the 200 Metres and then raced tight to the inside of GREENWICH for some distance near the 100 Metres.
Passing the 300 Metres, DRAGON'S LUCK was shifted to the inside of LUCKY ENCOUNTER to secure clear running.
A veterinary inspection of FUN N GLORY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
JOYFUL HUNTER, LUCKY ENCOUNTER and SUPER FORTUNE were sent for sampling.

Lucky Encounter took control near the 100m after pushing out for a clear run 200m out from the box seat for a third win from five starts. He clearly has the tools to head higher. Super Fortune found one too good after getting his own way in front from gate three. He's an honest performer over the Sha Tin 1,200m. Joyful Hunter ran on nicely for third despite getting badly held up for a run on two occasions in the straight drive following a patient ride two from the rear. It was a fine first performance at Sha Tin after winning his first two Valley starts. Dragon's Luck weaved a run near the inside to finish next best after making his run from midfield following a slow start. It was a good run. Greenwich came up one-paced after a prominent run. He ran with merit despite a rise in class at just his fourth career start. California Vanes gradually faded over the last 100m after a speed-tracking run. He's just not good enough at this level. Let's Do It made good ground late without threatening down the outside after making his run one from the rear.
