Recap by phillip woo
Ready To Win just held off odds-on favourite Greenwich after hitting the front 160m out following a prominent run wide without cover from an awkward gate for just a second win from 25 starts. Firming favourite Greenwich ran on nicely down the outside to finish a close second after making his run second last following a slow start. It was a good run in defeat despite the circumstances carrying top weight and he'll repay punters shortly. Dragon Delight was closing with every stride to place from behind midfield. He's likely on or near his mark and prefers a longer trip. Golden Bull made good ground late down the outside to fill the frame after settling last on the fence following a slow start. It was another honest performance. Lucky Quality found a few too good after assuming the lead 400m out following a wide run on the speed. He went OK but isn't easy to get right. The Good Deal just plodded with every chance after chasing the leading pair one off the fence. He found it harder with a rise in class.
