Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (410) - KO SHING HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
On arrival at the Start, it was noted that IMPERIAL MAGEE had blood at its mouth.
IMPERIAL MAGEE was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
CALL ME DANDY shifted out abruptly on jumping, badly crowding TURTLE AGAIN which was checked when taken out across TOGEPI which was bumped on the hindquarters by TURTLE AGAIN and became unbalanced.
After this, TURTLE AGAIN was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
OVER THE MOON jumped only fairly.
GLUCK RACER was slow to begin and was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From a wide barrier, SPICY SO SMART was also shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Passing the 900 Metres, FIGHTING STAR shifted to the rail to take up a position with cover behind MIRACULOUS HONOUR.
FIGHTING STAR then commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from the heels of MIRACULOUS HONOUR near the 800 Metres.
MIRACULOUS HONOUR was inclined to lay out in the early part of the Straight.
Passing the 200 Metres, FIGHTING STAR was momentarily crowded between MIRACULOUS HONOUR which shifted out and CALL ME DANDY which shifted in.
Over the final 150 Metres, HAPPY TRIO lay out and proved difficult to ride out to the finish.
After the race, C Y Ho reported that CALL ME DANDY, which was having its second race start today, raced greenly throughout the event and was inclined to lay out and as a consequence made the Home Turn wider.
A veterinary inspection of CALL ME DANDY immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, CALL ME DANDY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of GLUCK RACER immediately following the race found that horse to have blood at its mouth.
LASER VICTORY and SOARING TOWER were sent for sampling.

Favourite Laser Victory never looked back after rushing forward to lead 1,100m out from gate 12 for an impressive debut win. He's got a bright future. Soaring Victory dashed well travelling one off from midfield to easily take second. He lived up to an improved effort last start and can break through shortly. Togepi ran on nicely after saving ground in midfield to just edge Happy Trio for a placing. He's naturally coming to hand in his three starts. Punted late Happy Trio grudgingly gave way after tracking the winner. He went OK following a last-start win in Class Five. Fighting Star just held his ground after a handy run. He couldn't build on a near win last start carrying more weight. Imperial Magee ran on without menacing down the outside from behind midfield. He is looking for a longer trip. Gluck Racer made some ground late along the inside after jumping slowly from a wide draw. Call Me Dandy was a non-factor after travelling awkwardly in the run in a prominent spot. He couldn't build on a debut fourth and will require more education.
