Racing Incident Report
Race Ten: (416) - DES VOEUX HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
ALACRITY jumped awkwardly and was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
SOLAR WINDS jumped awkwardly and raced keenly in the middle stages.
MAJESTIC COLOUR lost its left front plate shortly after the start.
From wide barriers, KING'S CAPITAL and FIND ME LOVE were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
On the Home Turn, CHIU CHOW SPIRIT became unbalanced when bumped by CAPE BRETON which shifted out to improve.
Near the 150 Metres, ALACRITY was shifted to the inside of MASTER HERO to secure clear running.
Approaching the 100 Metres, COBHFIELD was shifted to the outside of MAJESTIC COLOUR to continue into clear running.
SHINING GEM raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
After the race, K C Leung reported that from a wide barrier he was obliged to make use of MAJESTIC COLOUR to take up a forward position.
He said as a result MAJESTIC COLOUR was left without a finishing effort when placed under pressure in the Straight.
A veterinary inspection of MAJESTIC COLOUR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, C L Chau reported that from an inside barrier MARADO jumped awkwardly and soon after made contact with BEAUTY ETERNAL.
He said he was then obliged to ride his mount along to hold a forward position in the early stages, however, MARADO then ran disappointingly.
A veterinary inspection of MARADO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Following the race, SOLAR WINDS was noted to have sustained a small abrasion to the forehead.
BEAUTY ETERNAL and SOLAR WINDS were sent for sampling.

Racing Laboratory tests of LORIZ, RAGING BLAZE, LOYAL AMBITION, REGENCY MASTER, DAZZLING FELLOW, E LEGEND, VILLA FIONN, PACKING SUCCEEDER, CHILL CHIBI, VIVA POPCORN, HOSS, SOLAR PARTNER, ESCAPE ROUTE, ROCKET SPADE, RIGHTEOUS ARION, COMPASSION SUPER, ADIOS, HERE COMES TED, MAJESTIC KNIGHT, GOLD GOLD BABY, JOLLY RULER and WINNING ICEY (1.2.23) proved negative.

Firming at short odds, Beauty Eternal won geared down after cruising to the front near the 200m following a perfect run in the box seat for a third win from four starts. Solar Winds ran on nicely to finish a non-threatening second after settling midfield following a sluggish start. He's not easy to get right. King's Capital dashed late to snatch third after a patient ride towards the rear despite a step back in distance. He had been hitting the line a lot better in his past two starts. Alacrity came from near last to fill the frame. It was a very encouraging performance on his Hong Kong debut and he prefers a longer trip. Chiu Chow Spirit finished well near the outside to just miss the frame after turning the final bend three from the rear. Master Hero was yielding ground over the final 100m after crossing to the lead 900m out. Find My Love ran on without menacing from the rear of the field. He's still acclimatising but it was a better run. Cobhfield came up one-paced over the last 150m following a handy run. He seems to prefer the Valley now.
