Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (160) - PANASONIC FUTON DRYER HANDICAP - Class 5 - 2000Meters
GO GO SIXTEEN began awkwardly and then was hampered by STAR OF GLORY which shifted out.
In this incident, STAR OF GLORY became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by GO GO SIXTEEN.
FORTUNE PATROL began only fairly.
From wide barriers, JOLLY FOREVER, CABLE SPEED and RUN DES RUN were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
SMART COUSIN was also steadied in the early stages to obtain a position closer to the rail.
After travelling a short distance, FORTUNE WINNER and SUPERB DADDY bumped.
Passing the 1200 Metres, STAR OF GLORY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FORTUNE WINNER when obtaining cover behind that horse.
On entering the Back Straight, RUN DES RUN was left racing wide and without cover.
Making the turn after the 900 Metres, LOYAL AMBITION and RUN DES RUN bumped.
After the 700 Metres, OH BRAVO was taken wider by STAR OF GLORY which shifted out from behind FORTUNE WINNER.
STAR OF GLORY then momentarily raced tight between FORTUNE WINNER and OH BRAVO approaching the 550 Metres.
GO GO SIXTEEN was awkwardly placed behind STAR OF GLORY in consequence.
SMART COUSIN was held up for clear running rounding the Home Turn.
Passing the 400 Metres, STAR OF GLORY shifted out and brushed RUN DES RUN, resulting in STAR OF GLORY becoming unbalanced.
JOLLY FOREVER had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.
Close to the finishing line, R Maia (SMART COUSIN) dropped his left rein.
A veterinary inspection of STAR OF GLORY and LOYAL AMBITION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of FORTUNE WINNER immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.
SUPERB DADDY and SKY GEM were sent for sampling.

Favourite Superb Daddy dashed nicely to take control 150m out after a rails run behind midfield for a second career win at his 33rd start. He had been knocking on the door in his opening three runs and the booking of Zac Purton worked the oracle. Punted late Sky Gem ran on well travelling one off in midfield to grab second in deep stretch. He rarely produces a bad run at this level. Oh Bravo just held his ground over the last 150m to take third after drawing level for the lead rounding the final bend following a prominent run. It was one of his better runs from 20 starts. Smart Cousin finished well down the outside to just miss a placing after biding his time third last from an awkward gate. He's not easy to get right. Boys Party grudgingly gave way after clearing Star Of Glory for the lead 1,400m out. He can break through shortly. Baron Zee came up one-paced after a box-seat run. He's still trying to find his mark. Capable Speed ran on without menacing from near the rear. Loyal Ambition never landed a blow widest out after peeling three wide 700m out travelling fifth from the rear from gate 14. He covered too much ground.
