Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (166) - PANASONIC MINI ICE FOOD FREEZER HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
ENCOUNTERED shifted out at the start and inconvenienced BILLIONAIRE SECRET which in turn shifted out and bumped LOYAL BABY.
SUPER DYNAMITE was bumped on jumping by SUPER OASIS which shifted out.
MAXIMUS began very awkwardly and lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected, resulting in MAXIMUS losing ground.
MAXIMUS was then shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier in the early stages.
Also from wide barriers, YES WE CAN and BEAR SLAM were steadied to obtain cover shortly after the start.
Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, BILLIONAIRE SECRET was shifted in away from the heels of SUPER OASIS.
At the 400 Metres, LOYAL BABY lay in and was momentarily awkwardly placed outside the heels of MAXIMUS.
The performance of SUPER OASIS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, SUPER OASIS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of MAXIMUS, SUPER DYNAMITE, SUPER OASIS and AMAZING TEENS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
TRUE LEGEND and YES WE CAN were sent for sampling.

Post-time favourite True Legend led and won geared down after turning the final bend five lengths on top to score in a class record time. He was gifted an easy time in front making use of a 10-pound claimer. Early favourite Yes We Can ran on nicely to finish a clear second ridden for luck third last from a wide draw. It was another solid effort up in grade off a light weight. Encountered finished next best chasing a solid pace. It was a good effort trying the dirt for the first time. Viva Hunter ran on steadily after a one-off trip in midfield to make it close for third. It was another honest effort. Super Dynamite came up one paced when asked for an effort following a prominent run. He's likely on or near his mark. Stoicism weakened over the final 150m after a box-seat run. He didn't handle the surface and trip. Plunged late Billionaire Secret ran on without menacing near the outside travelling four back on the fence. He's still acclimatising. Amazing Teens never menaced after making his run worse than midfield on the fence. He's looking for 1,800m.
