Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (792) - CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT 1000M HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
As the start was effected, LUCKY GOR became fractious and lifted its front feet off the ground, resulting in the horse being slow to begin.
CRACK ON began awkwardly and shifted out towards the heels of SHINING FORTUNE, resulting in CRACK ON losing ground.
UNITED WE STAND began awkwardly and shifted out, resulting in AMAZING ROCKY being momentarily crowded for room inside HAPPY TRIO which shifted in.
After travelling a short distance, JACK WIN got its head on the side, shifted out and inconvenienced CRACK ON.
Also after travelling a short distance, FLYING HIGH shifted out and bumped MANY WINS.
Approaching the 500 Metres, FLYING HIGH and SHINING FORTUNE brushed.
After the 400 Metres, FORTE lay in under pressure.
FORTE then raced tight inside SPARKLING DOLPHIN near the 250 Metres.
After the race, M F Poon stated that the only explanation he could find for the manner in which AMAZING ROCKY weakened over the latter stages of the race was that it failed to handle today's track conditions.
A veterinary inspection of AMAZING ROCKY immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, AMAZING ROCKY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of LUCKY GOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SPARKLING DOLPHIN and FORTE were sent for sampling.

Sparkling Dolphin led and fought off a stern challenge by favourite Forte over the final 200m for a second win over the straight 1,000m from five starts this term. Forte came to win the race after a prominent run but couldn't match the winner in the run to the wire. He's honest as the day is long without winning this season. We Are Hero ran on to finish a close third after a midfield run in the centre of the course. It was a better effort. United We Stand ran on steadily to fill the frame after a handy run on the stands side. He's gone all right to finish around the mark in his past three starts and can bob up at any moment. Happy Trio got going late without menacing the top-four from behind midfield on the stand side. He can produce an odd good run now and then. Specked late Kowloon East Star weakened 150m out chasing the speed in third from a low draw. He's not easy to get right on his day. Crack On made some ground without threatening from near the back. It was an OK effort on debut. Shining Fortune just plodded after a midfield run. Punted late Lucky Gor peaked on his run 100m out after looming a place chance 200m out from near the rear on the far side.
