Racing Incident Report
Race Ten: (711) - AMAH ROCK HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1200Meters
When proceeding to the barriers, RED DESERT made contact with a rail.
On arrival at the Start, RED DESERT was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
BLAZE WARRIOR began only fairly and then was hampered by ROCK YA HEART which shifted out.
CALIFORNIA RAD began only fairly.
PACKING VICTORY was crowded for room on jumping between KING LAND and FANTASTIC TREASURE.
After this, from wide barriers, PACKING VICTORY and FANTASTIC TREASURE were shifted across behind runners.
After being steadied in the early stages with a view to obtaining a position closer to the rail, RED DESERT was left racing wide and without cover after the 900 Metres.
After the 1000 Metres, PACKING VICTORY commenced to travel keenly and got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of CZARSON.
PACKING VICTORY then continued to travel keenly and making the turn after the 900 Metres got its head on the side and shifted out abruptly across the heels of FANTASTIC TREASURE, resulting in PACKING VICTORY losing ground.
VOYAGE WARRIOR had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and after the 250 Metres was directed to the outside of ROCK YA HEART to obtain clear running.
SCORES OF FUN, which was following VOYAGE WARRIOR, was momentarily awkwardly placed behind that horse in consequence.
BLAZE WARRIOR was held up for clear running from approaching the 300 Metres until passing the 200 Metres.
After the 200 Metres, RED DESERT raced tight outside KING LAND which shifted out under pressure.
After the race, B Shinn reported that FANTASTIC TREASURE did not feel comfortable in its action over the concluding stages of the race and on returning to the unplaced saddling area.
A veterinary inspection of FANTASTIC TREASURE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Before being allowed to race again, FANTASTIC TREASURE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
When questioned regarding the improved performance of WINNING DREAMER today as compared to its recent starts, Trainer F C Lor stated that from wide barriers WINNING DREAMER has been ridden from off the speed in its recent races to obtain cover and in the hope that the horse would be able to close the race off.
He said however that he had been disappointed in the finishing efforts of WINNING DREAMER and in particular at its most recent start when the horse had not closed the race off.
He said after WINNING DREAMER again drew wide today, he instructed for the horse to be ridden positively to see if it would race more competitively.
He said he believed that riding the horse in a forward position was the reason for WINNING DREAMER's improved performance today.
A veterinary inspection of PACKING VICTORY immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.
FANTASTIC TREASURE, WINNING DREAMER and REWARDING TOGETHER were sent for sampling.

Racing Laboratory tests of MANNA FROM HEAVEN, SMILING FACE, DAILY BEAUTY, HAPPY DAILY, WIN WIN FIGHTER, JOLLY HONOUR, SUNNY DELIGHT, TELECOM CHEETAH, CHATER PINS, SEE U AGAIN, CHARMING STEED, SHINING FORTUNE, GANG OF BROTHERS, OVERSUBSCRIBED, STOICISM, DROPS OF GOD, VALIANT ELEGANCE, MAGIC PHOENIX, SKY FOREVER, XPONENTIAL, NOTHING NEW, LOYAL BABY, RED MAJESTY, CAMPIONE, KEEP YOU WARM and LUCKY WITH YOU (18.5.22) proved negative.

Winning Dreamer just got the better of stablemate Rewarding Together stalking the speed from a wide draw for an upset win. It was a return to form after a host of issues. Well-backed at the jump Rewarding Together made it a thriller on the wire after a boxseat run. He was able to bring some solid form at the Valley to Sha Tin despite a rise in class. Punted late Trillion Win grudgingly gave way after leading from a middle draw. He's as honest as the day is long over this Sha Tin trip. Rock Ya Heart just held his ground after a one-out, one-back run as one of the favourites. It was another honest performance. Voyage Warrior got going late to just finish out of the frame after getting held up early straight travelling midfield on the fence. Favourite Fantastic Treasure came up flat over the final 100m with his move after a deep run towards the rear from a wide draw. He needed the run off an injury break. Blaze Warrior was held up for most the straight after biding his time one from the rear. California Rad produced a grinding effort after making his run four back on the fence. It was a flat effort first up off short break.
