Recap by phillip woo
Favourite En Pointe responded well when asked for an effort to take control near the 200m chasing the speed one-off in third for a third win from six starts. Royal Bomb ran on well to take second 50m out after a one-off trip behind midfield. He's building towards a win with placings in his past three starts but is getting higher in the ratings. Chevalier Prince ran on well to grab a placing in deep stretch after peeling off the tiring Double Six Pop for a clear run near the 100m following a rails run behind midfield. It was a return to form with a step back in distance after misfiring in his past three starts. Double Six Pop kept on all right after securing the lad from Super Ten 300m out following a pace-stalking run. He's shown flashes of ability in his four starts and will be a force to be reckoned with Class Four looming large. California Sky came up flat after a prominent run. It was a disappointing effort. Country Boy ran on without menacing from near last. He wasn't suited by the tempo of the race and was having his first run in Class Three. Born The Same Day beat a couple struggling rivals after a very slow start. He's still acclimatising.
