Favourite Excellent Chariot responded nicely under Neil Callan to win going away 60m out after settling nicely one off the fence behind midfield. He's dangerous at this level and now remains perfect in three rides under Callan. Late-fancied Great Harvest found one too smart after moving to the lead 150m out following a pace-stalking run. It was another fine effort despite a return to Class Four and Sha Tin. Newcomer Amigos Giggle kept on well for a placing despite being short of room in the dying stages following a prominent run. It was a promising debut effort and he'll be winning races with more education and experience. Touch Faith ran on steadily to nearly place after peeling off the fence in midfield. He's shown some ability in his three starts but is still learning the ropes. Infinite Power was yielding ground 100m out after doing a bit of work to eventual clear for the lead 800m out from a wide draw. He went all right carrying more weight following a laststart win. Sparkling Star ran on without menacing after a patient ride travelling second last. He rarely produces a bad run but is limited. Fantastic Fabio weakened 150m out following a box-seat run. He's a Valley horse.

Racing Incident Report

Race Five: (791) - CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT 1200M HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

EXCELLENT CHARIOT was crowded for room on jumping between AMIGOS GIGGLE and TOUCH FAITH which got its head on the side and shifted out.

AION was crowded for room on jumping between THETA HEDGE which was taken out by GREAT HARVEST and INFINITE POWER which shifted in.

From the outside barrier, LUCKY TREASURE was shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.

After the 800 Metres, XPONENTIAL, which was being hard ridden to maintain its position, got its head on the side and was momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of EXCELLENT CHARIOT.

After the 500 Metres, THETA HEDGE raced tight between TELECOM ELITE and EXCELLENT CHARIOT which improved into tight running to the outside of AMIGOS GIGGLE.

Passing the 400 Metres, XPONENTIAL was awkwardly placed close to the heels of THETA HEDGE when held up for clear running.

XPONENTIAL was then shifted to the outside of THETA HEDGE passing the 300 Metres to obtain clear running.

Close to the finishing line, AMIGO GIGGLES was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GREAT HARVEST and consequently was not able to be fully tested all the way to the end of the race.

Throughout the race, TELECOM ELITE and THETA HEDGE travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of XPONENTIAL and SPARKLING STAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

EXCELLENT CHARIOT and GREAT HARVEST were sent for sampling.
