Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (716)-HKU FACULTY OF DENTISTRY HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Metres
NOBLE BUDDIES began awkwardly and then shortly after the start was crowded for room between FAIR COMMENT which shifted out and FORTUNE BROTHERS which was taken in by EMPIRE OF MONGOLIA.MASSIVE MOVE and EMPEROR VICTORY bumped at the start.
Approaching the 800 Metres, NOBLE BUDDIES was awkwardly placed close to the heels of EMPIRE OF MONGOLIA.
After being crossed by GOLDEN CANNON passing the 700 Metres, EMPIRE OF MONGOLIA got its head on the side and lay out.
Making the turn near the 650 Metres, FRIENDS FOREVER lay out, resulting in EMPEROR VICTORY being taken wider.
Near the 250 Metres, FANTASTICLIFE shifted out and bumped GOLDEN CANNON.
Over the concluding stages, NOBLE BUDDIES, which was finishing off the race well, was steadied when improving inside FRIENDS FOREVER (C Murray) which shifted in.
C Murray was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is aware of the circumstances around him and to make every endeavour to keep his mounts on a straight course.
For the majority of the race, EMPEROR VICTORY travelled wide and without cover.
The performance of FAIR COMMENT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, FAIR COMMENT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After the race, J Moreira reported that after being placed in a good position behind the speed, FORTUNE BROTHERS came under heavy pressure after the 500 Metres and then weakened noticeably in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection of FORTUNE BROTHERS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of FORTUNE BROTHERS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Massive Move was hustled to lead from a wide gate, cornered three lengths on top and drew clear to land a betting move despite failing to menace in two prior starts on this surface. The 10-pound claim of Dylan Mo Hin-tung was golden and it remains to be seen whether he can repeat the dosage. Snowhooves peeled outside the tiring Friends Forever at the 200m following a rails run in midfield to grab second 50m out. He has been racing well of late on this surface. Fantasticlife ran on nicely from beyond midfield to just get the bob down for third. He's a double turf winner this season but this run opens up a new avenue of riches on the dirt. Actuariat stayed on all right after travelling fore of midfield on the fence but did have his chance to place. The big weight coming down in class was a hurdle. Friends Forever was stopping 150m out after pressing to second at the 700m mark. He's more effective on the turf. Fortune Brothers dropped off tamely after a box-seat run. It's back to the drawing board for him after disappointing in back-toback runs on this surface at short odds.
