Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (591)-AUDEMARS PIGUET ROYAL OAK CONCEPT HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1600Metres
BEAUTY PRINCE shifted in on jumping and bumped the hindquarters of CALIFORNIA JOY.UNICORN and GENERAL OF PATCH bumped at the start.
A short distance later, UNICORN shifted out and was steadied away from the heels of MR PELE.
CLUB LIFE lost its left front plate shortly after the start.
From wide barriers, RED DANCER, CIRCUIT FORTUNE and TOP ACE were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the 1500 Metres, BEAUTY PRINCE shifted out and bumped TRIUMPHANT DRAGON.
At the entrance to the Straight, SOLAR HEI HEI shifted out and bumped MR PELE.
Throughout the race, MR PELE travelled wide and without cover.
Apprentice K K Chiong (CLUB LIFE) explained that it had been intended to lead today's race, however, the horse began very awkwardly and got its head up at the start, resulting in it losing ground.
She said she rode CLUB LIFE along for a short distance after this to see whether it could make up lost ground, however, as CLUB LIFE was not able to improve at that stage, she elected to obtain cover on the horse towards the rear of the field.
A veterinary inspection of CLUB LIFE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SOLAR HEI HEI and UNICORN were sent for sampling.

Punted late, Solar Hei Hei saved ground in midfield, bumped Triumphant Dragon while angling into the open five deep at the 400m and finished well in the centre of the course to just blouse favourite Unicorn in the final 10m for a fifth win from 12 starts in his first try at a mile. Unicorn closed willingly with three wider out after travelling fifth from the rear to poke his head in front 50m out only to get nailed in deep stretch. Beauty Prince went down fighting after dictating the run. California Joy loomed a winning chance at the 350m and came up one-paced over the final 150m following a speed-tracking run. Super Talent ran on steadily after settling along the rails behind midfield to just miss a Quartet spot. Red Dancer was restrained from a wide gate to travel second from the rear, straightened five deep, ducked underneath runners for a clear run at the 250m and ran on steadily without threatening. General Of Patch made some ground without menacing after travelling fifth from the rear. He was anchored by the big weight. Specked late, Noble Alpha didn't fire following a one-off run outside Super Talent.
