Recap by phillip woo
Wet-track lover Jaeger Bomb held the rail in third, stayed to the inside upon straightening and took control approaching the 100m as the late-fancied favourite. Fun Rider sustained his run from near the back at the 600m to find the lead 150m out before finding one too good in the end. Turbo Jewellery settled fore of midfield along the rails and finished well four deep to grab a placing. Holmes Legend settled one off in midfield, swung the final bend with three wider out and took off from near last at the 600m, got to the front 150m out and ran on steadily to just edge First Sight Love for a First-4 spot. First Sight Love ran on reasonably well after steadying off heels at the 300m from near the back. Why Not ran on without menacing from behind midfield. Firming late, Real Supreme worked hard to sit outside the leader at the 1,100m and copped a check at the 120m when yielding ground. Early favourite Born To Win was gassed at the 200m after dictating the run. Kitaya had no excuses following a one-out, one-back run.
