Racing Incident Report
Race Seven : (433) - TVB POK OI CHARITY SHOW HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 GOLDENFIELD (H473) K De Melo After the race, K De Melo expressed concern with his mount's action.
The performance of GOLDENFIELD, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, GOLDENFIELD will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 TORONADO PHANTOM (E300) K Teetan Bumped at the start.
From the 300 Metres to the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 5 BABY CRYSTAL (H081) C L Chau After the race, C L Chau reported that his mount over-raced badly throughout the early and middle stages and as a result did not finish the race off.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 GOOD BUDDY (E097) A Badel From the 700 Metres raced wide and without cover.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 SKY FOREVER (E414) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly and was bumped by SPORTS LEGEND.
Approaching the 100 Metres became held up behind MARK THE MOMENT and was then shifted to that runner's inside to secure clear running.

Horse No 8 VICTORY MOMENTS (H142) M Chadwick When questioned regarding his mount racing in a more forward position today, M Chadwick stated that VICTORY MOMENTS, which was having its first race start on the All Weather surface, had performed well in barrier trials when ridden in a forward position.
He said as a result and due to the horse being a "roarer" he was asked to allow VICTORY MOMENTS to take up a forward position but only where it was comfortable to ensure that it relaxed during the event.
He added that whilst VICTORY MOMENTS was caught wide and without cover for the majority of the event, it travelled comfortably in that position and as a result was able to go on to win the event.

Horse No 10 MARK THE MOMENT (H088) Y L Chung Shifted out on jumping and was bumped.
Horse No 11 MONTA FRUTTA (H455) L Hewitson A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Victory Moments drew clear after hitting the front near the 200m after a prominent run wide without cover for a first local win at his sixth start and first on the all-weather surface. Good Buddy just got the better of Smokey Bear for second after a three-to-four wide trip travelling behind midfield from gate 11. He's run well in three of his past four starts following a switch to the dirt. Smokey Bear ran on nicely after biding his time wide towards the rear from gate 12. He's quite honest on this surface. Toronado Phantom dashed well for fourth after making his run one from the rear. He continues to hit the line well in his past three of four starts on both surfaces after scoring a win on the dirt in December. Mark The Moment gradually faded over the final 100m after a pace-stalking run from gate six. He's at his best when allowed to bowl along in front. Firming favourite Sky Forever weaved a run late to finish next best after settling last early on. He went okay despite a return to Class Three following a win.
