Race Ten : (436) - TVB MIDLIFE, SING & SHINE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 TRUE LEGEND (D047) B Thompson Slow to begin.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
The performance of TRUE LEGEND, which finished tailed out on the second consecutive occasion and in recent race starts, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, TRUE LEGEND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a series of consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 SO WE JOY (D082) A Atzeni A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 BEAUTYVERSE (H075) Y L Chung Near the 450 Metres went amiss when it sustained an injury to the left front leg and as a result was eased down from the event.
Samples were taken from the horse.

Horse No 9 SELF IMPROVEMENT (H337) B Avdulla A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 MASSIVE ACTION (E445) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 FRANTANCK (H429) Z Purton Over-raced in the early stages and got its head up near the 1200 Metres when being steadied.
Close to the winning post Z Purton was obliged to stop riding and straighten his mount when it shifted in towards AMAZING DUCK.

Horse No 13 NORDIC STAR (G433) A Badel Jumped awkwardly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 450 Metres was checked away from BEAUTYVERSE.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 PERFECT TEAM (H120) E C W Wong Withdrawn on 17.2.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore).
Before being allowed to race again, PERFECT TEAM will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Adefill quickened nicely to overhaul long-time leader Massive Action 30m out for a fifth career win and second from his past three starts over the dirt 1,650m. Massive Action gave a cheeky sight for second after skipping clear by nearly three lengths mid-straight. Yellowfin stayed on well to finish a close third after a handy run one off the fence. It was another honest performance despite a change in tactics. Favourite Frantanck kept on nicely to just miss the placings after rushing forward to sit three wide without cover 1,000m out. He's a winner racing reasonably well without winning. Amazing Duck gradually faded after a pace-stalking run from gate 11. It was an okay effort trying the dirt 1,650m for the first time. Fiery Diamond made a steady bid late following a rails run from midfield. Last-start winner So We Joy ran on without threatening after making his run four from the rear. He didn't get the tempo to suit. Punted late Self Improvement was stopping 150m out after a prominent run on the fence.
