Race One : (111) - WA MEI SHAN HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 HAPPIHOOD (H261) Y L Chung Passing the 1500 Metres raced tight for a short distance to the inside of STAR OF GLORY.
Horse No 2 M M NEBULA (G279) M Chadwick Noted to have blood in its mouth on arrival at the Start.
Examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 NICE BIRDIE (G470) C L Chau After the race, C L Chau reported that his mount came under pressure from the 600 Metres and failed to finish the race off.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 CASA SACRED (H107) A Atzeni Bumped on jumping.
The performance of CASA SACRED, which finished tailed out on the second consecutive occasion, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, CASA SACRED will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a series of consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 SUN OF MAKFI (D157) Z Purton After the race, Z Purton could offer no excuse for his mount's performance.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 11 STARSHIP EIGHTY (H022) K Teetan From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 12 GREEN LASER (E409) K De Mel Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start.

Jubilation timed things perfectly to just edge M M Nebula from midfield for a second straight win following a July success over the Valley 1,650m. It was a good training feat for his new handler. M M Nebula did everything but get the win after turning the final bend two lengths on top after leading from gate two. He's racing well on both surfaces this term. Starship Eighty ran on nicely down the outside to finish a close third after a patient ride second last from gate 12. He's finished in the mix in each of his five starts on both surfaces this term and can bob up at any moment. Punted late, Green Laser kept on better for fourth after a speed-tracking run. He's still to salute in 21 starts but is well rated off his current mark. Favourite Sun Of Makfi plodded over the last 100m after making his move 550m out from behind midfield. He doesn't run out a strong 1,800m. Colourful Baron came up flat after a prominent run on the fence. He had no excuse. Nice Birdie was beaten soon after straightening following a handy run one off the fence. It was another disappointing effort despite a downgrade.
