Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Son Pak Fu won with something in hand after hitting the front 150m out following a rails run better than midfield for a third straight win over the Valley 1,200m. He's really come into his own and can compete up in class off a light weight. Rank outsider Kasi Farasi ran on nicely to grab second 30m out after a wide run with cover from midfield. The combination of blinkers and a return to the Valley nearly delivered the goods after two positive runs at Sha Tin. Snowalot made good ground late down the outside to just win a blanket finish for third after a wide run with cover from behind midfield. It was another honest effort with a return to the course and distance. E Rainbow just missed a placing after chasing the speed one off in third. He can bob up at any moment. E Brother weakened over the final 100m after tracking the speed one off from a tricky gate. The big weight took its toll following back-to-back wins. Flaming Eagle made a mild bid from midfield. He's a Class Five horse. Divine Era had nothing left in the tank near the 100m after dictating the run from gate one.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (556) - ONCIDIUM HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

ALL IS GOOD, which sustained a minor abrasion above the right eye whilst being transported to Happy Valley, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

SNOWALOT, which had its right front plate refitted at the holding stalls, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found suitable to race.

GO GO GO was slow to begin.

FLAMING EAGLE jumped only fairly and was then hampered when taken out by E BROTHER.

Shortly after the start, ALL IS GOOD shifted out and bumped MASTER OF ALL.

From a wide barrier, STOICISM was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

FINGERS CROSSED made the first turn near the 1000 Metres awkwardly and was inclined to lay out.

FINGERS CROSSED was then obliged to race wide and without cover after the 700 Metres.

After the race, S De Sousa (E BROTHER) reported that his mount lay in in the Straight and proved difficult to ride out.

Also after the race, H T Mo (MASTER OF ALL) reported that after being steadied to obtain a position behind ALL IS GOOD near the 1000 Metres, his mount was reluctant to stretch out in the middle stages.

A veterinary inspection of MASTER OF ALL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of MASTER OF ALL, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, MASTER OF ALL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of DIVINE ERA and ALL IS GOOD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

SON PAK FU and KASI FARASI were sent for sampling.
