Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (550) - GERANIUM HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1000Meters
RAGING BLAZE (K Teetan) jumped only fairly.
After the race, K Teetan reported that in this incident his left foot slipped out of the stirrup iron which resulted in him having to re-position his left foot soon after the start.
He said after this RAGING BLAZE travelled only fairly throughout the event due to the strong pace and, in his opinion, was looking for additional ground.
A veterinary inspection of RAGING BLAZE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
THIS IS GUTS jumped awkwardly and then was hampered when crowded for room between STRIVE FOR GLORY and FORTUNE TURBO which was taken out by GOODMANSHIP.
THIS IS GUTS then raced keenly in the early stages when being steadied in an attempt to obtain cover behind SIX BEST FRIENDS.
For a short distance near the 300 Metres, THIS IS GUTS was awkwardly placed close to the heels of JAZZ STEED which shifted out.
A veterinary inspection of JAZZ STEED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
STRIVE FOR GLORY and TRONIC MIGHTY were sent for sampling.

Well-punted late, Strive For Glory kept finding after turning the final bend two lengths on top after leading from gate 12 for a second win this season. It was his best run over the Valley 1,000m and he was coming off a ground-covering fourth over the Sha Tin 1,200m on the weekend. Favourite Tronic Mighty was closing the margin late after tracking the speed one off in third. It was another honest performance. After firming late in betting, U W Brother plugged away to finish a tiring third after chasing the winner on the fence. It was a good run after staying on for fifths in two prior starts. Jack Win just failed to get up for a placing from midfield. He went OK with a step back in distance after a second over 1,200m. Goodmanship finished next best from around midfield. He's in the right grade and likely prefers a longer sprint. Treasure Of Field came up flat after a prominent run. He's limited. Raging Blaze ran on without threatening from towards the rear. He gave them too much of a head start in a race run to suit those up front.
