Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (393) - KUNG HEI HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
HANDSOME TWELVE and HAPPY ANGEL, which both began only fairly, bumped at the start, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced and HAPPY ANGEL shifting out towards the heels of SHINING GEM.
CHARITY GRACE shifted out at the start and bumped BLISSFUL LIFE.
CHARITY GRACE was then bumped shortly after the start by MASSIVE ACTION which shifted out.
BLISSFUL LIFE was then again bumped a short distance after the start by LUCKY GOLD which shifted in after beginning awkwardly.
From wide barriers, LUCKY GOLD, RUNNING GLORY and THE HULK were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.
BLISSFUL LIFE was also steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
After travelling a short distance, COPARTNER AMBITION shifted in and bumped SHINING GEM.
Passing the 1300 Metres, COPARTNER AMBITION was awkwardly placed outside the heels of SHINING GEM when obtaining cover behind that horse.
Near the 1050 Metres, LUCKY GOLD became unbalanced when momentarily racing in restricted room between CHARITY GRACE and BLISSFUL LIFE.
In the Straight, SOLID IMPACT raced greenly and after the 300 Metres shifted out under pressure.
Approaching the 100 Metres, CHARITY GRACE raced tight outside HARMONY WIN WIN when improving into tight running between that horse and SUPER TEN.
Throughout the race, MASSIVE ACTION travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that ARTHUR'S KINGDOM was lame in its left front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, ARTHUR'S KINGDOM will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of HANDSOME TWELVE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
RUNNING GLORY and COPARTNER AMBITION were sent for sampling.

Favourite Running Glory won a battle over Copartner Ambition after hitting the front 100m out following a wide run with cover behind midfield. He rung up a second straight win despite a rise in grade. Copartner Ambition found one just too good after looming a winning chance 100m out after travelling one-off worse than midfield. He runs hot and cold but it was a solid effort following a stable change. Charity Grace ran on well to fill a placing after making his run five back on the fence. He's a very capable runner but was having his first run since September. Shining Gem kept grinding away to fill a first-four spot after a one-off run better than midfield. He seems to go better when ridden further back in the pack. Harmony Win Win grudgingly gave way to just miss the frame after handing up the lead 900m out to travel box-seat. It wasn't a bad effort. The Hulk got going late down the outside without menacing after settling last from the widest draw. It wasn't a bad run. Super Ten was stopping 80m out after clearing to the lead passing the 900m from a wide draw.
