Early favourite Seasons Bliss quickened nicely carrying top weight after a one-out run behind midfield to take control 150m out for back-to-back wins. He's going really well and should hold his own up in grade off a light weight. Soaring Tower ran on nicely to finish a close second after a patient ride fifth from the rear. He relished a downgrade for his season debut here. Late-fancied favourite En Pointe stayed on nicely for a placing despite travelling prominent without cover three deep the entire trip from a wide draw. It was a solid run on debut. Punted late Pretty Queen Prawn kept on reasonably well leading from the 800m with pressure to his outside from E Brother. He's still learning but it was a better effort third-up here. Trust Me was far from filling the frame despite a wide without cover run in midfield from a wide draw. He had an excuse but it was a better performance with a return to Class Four. E Brother yielding ground over the last 100m after prompting the pace without cover. It wasn't a bad effort after an improved performance last start. You can forget the runs of both first-timer starter Running Glory and Chiu Chow Brother who were both blocked on the back of the speed the entire straight.

Racing Incident Report

Race One: (187) - BOCHK CROSS-BORDER SERVICES HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

V Borges (ASIAN ONE) was fined the sum of $2,000 for failing to present himself in the Parade Ring by the required time.

DESTIN was slow to begin.

BLAZING SUN began only fairly and then was crowded for room between SOLAR PARTNER which shifted in after being bumped by CHIU CHOW BROTHER and RUNNING GLORY which shifted out.

From a wide barrier, VITRALITE was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

ASIAN ONE and AURORA PEGASUS were also steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

Approaching the 1100 Metres, SOLAR PARTNER travelled keenly and got its head up when being steadied to obtain cover.

Near the 950 Metres, CHIU CHOW BROTHER and RUNNING GLORY bumped.

Approaching the 900 Metres, EN POINTE shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of E BROTHER.

On two occasions approaching and passing the 900 Metres, SEASONS BLISS and TRUST ME bumped.

Passing the 700 Metres, CHIU CHOW BROTHER was bumped by EN POINTE which shifted in before being directed back out to relieve the crowding to CHIU CHOW BROTHER.

Passing the 600 Metres, TRUST ME raced close to the heels of EN POINTE which lay in towards the heels of E BROTHER.

After the race, EN POINTE was found to have sustained multiple abrasions to the left hindlimb and to have lost the left hind plate.

At the entrance to the Straight, TRUST ME became unbalanced when bumped by SEASONS BLISS which was eased to the outside of EN POINTE to obtain clear running.

ASIAN ONE lay out under pressure in the early part of the Straight and approaching the 50 Metres was bumped by DESTIN which shifted out away from the heels of VITRALITE when disappointed for running between that horse and AURORA PEGASUS.

Approaching the 400 Metres, SOLAR PARTNER raced tight inside CHIU CHOW BROTHER which got its head on the side and shifted in after being brushed by EN POINTE.

BLAZING SUN had some difficulty obtaining clear running passing the 400 Metres.

Approaching the 250 Metres, TRUST ME was eased away from the heels of SEASONS BLISS which shifted out.

Passing the 100 Metres, PRETTY QUEEN PRAWN shifted out and brushed E BROTHER.

Close to the finishing line, SOLAR PARTNER raced tight between BLAZING SUN and CHIU CHOW BROTHER.

RUNNING GLORY and CHIU CHOW BROTHER were unable to obtain clear running at any stage in the Straight and consequently were not able to be tested.

Throughout the race, EN POINTE travelled wide and without cover.

EN POINTE, SEASONS BLISS and SOARING TOWER were sent for sampling.
