Recap by phillip woo
It was dominant 1-2-3-4 performance by the Japanese. Loves Only You took control 200m out for the win after enjoying a lovely run one-out, one-back. She was clearly a class act following a placing in Dubai. Punted late, Glory Vase came from near last to finish a close second. He's more effective at 2,400m. Favourite Daring Tact kept on third best but did have every chance in the box seat. She was a ball of nerves leaving the paddock which may have affected her performance. Kiseki got going late from towards the rear to just overhaul Exultant for fourth. Exultant couldn't match the raiders when push came to shove after tracking stablemate Time Warp one off in second. He's getting long in the tooth and the Japanese horses were clearly superior. Glorious Dragon never looked likely travelling at the rear of the field. He's not in the same league. Time Warp was gifted an easy time in front but couldn't keep things going over the final 150m. He's beyond his better days.
