Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (621) - FWD INSURANCE ACT CHAMPION HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1600Meters
CELESTIAL POWER lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and was slow to begin.
CHARITY GO and ENJOYING bumped at the start.
SUPER OASIS began very awkwardly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From the outside barrier, ARTHUR'S KINGDOM was also steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
SOLAR WAI WAI stumbled at the start.
SAVVY NINE shifted out at the start and bumped TOURBILLON DIAMOND.
Passing the 1200 Metres, BIGWOOD and HOLY HEART raced tight inside MAXIMUS which got its head on the side and lay in away from TOURBILLON DIAMOND.
Passing the 1100 Metres, HOLY HEART was eased away from the heels of MAXIMUS which shifted in.
HOLY HEART then commenced to travel keenly and passing the 1000 Metres got its head up when awkwardly placed behind TOURBILLON DIAMOND.
After the 1000 Metres, SAVVY NINE was left racing wide and without cover.
Making the turn after the 900 Metres, CELESTIAL POWER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BIGWOOD.
Approaching the 400 Metres, CIRCUIT THREE momentarily raced tight between SAVVY NINE and CHARITY GO which shifted out away from the heels of ENJOYING.
Passing the 350 Metres, CELESTIAL POWER raced tight inside MAXIMUS which shifted in.
Approaching the 300 Metres, BIGWOOD shifted out under pressure, requiring its rider to stop riding and correct.
SUPER FOOTBALL had some difficulty obtaining clear running passing the 250 Metres.
A veterinary inspection of BIGWOOD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SAVAQUIN and TOURBILLON DIAMOND were sent for sampling.

Savaquin quickened nicely from behind midfield to overhaul favourite Tourbillon Diamond in the final few strides for a third win at both tracks from his past six starts. He's really come into his own and can head higher. Tourbillon Diamond found one too good after surging to the lead 250m out tracking the leader Solar Wai Wai from a wide gate. He lost nothing in defeat. Maximus just edged the fast-finishing Super Football by a lip for third after getting all favours in the box-seat. He's managed to place in three of his seven starts and can bob up at any moment. Plunged late, Super Football came with a weaving run from the rear of the field to just out on a placing. It was a return to form at his third start in this grade after a failure last run with excuses. Charity Go ran on well to just miss the frame after settling five back along the fence. It was another honest performance. Celestial Power stayed on reasonably well to be beaten only two lengths for all the marbles travelling midfield along the inside after bombing the start.
