Recap by phillip woo
Favourite Full Of Beauty just held on for the win after dashing to the front at the 200m following a far side run two from the back after a slow start. He's very exciting and will be a key player in the major sprints this term. Jolly Banner was coming on strongly with every stride to make it close after a patient ride at the rear of the field. It was another great run by the eight-year-old over the minimum trip. Wishful Thinker might have toppled them if not held up for a run from the 280m to 150m following a prominent run on the stands side. Gunnison kept on reasonably well to hold off Little Giant for fourth after pressuring Rattan for the lead. He rarely produces a bad run and can bob up at any moment in a Class One on either surface. Little Giant kept plugging away without menacing after over-racing a bit early on behind the leaders. Rattan faded after dictating the run. He'll need to stick to a longer trip. Saul's Special was simply outclassed.
