Post-time favourite Radiant Steed kept finding after being ridden along to park third without cover from a wide gate to get the bob down over Bolshoi Ballet for a second straight win following a switch to the dirt. He'll find it harder but should remain competitive off a lightweight on this surface. Bolshoi Ballet nearly stole the race in a rare frontrunning performance. He's not genuine but certainly has shown life signs in recent runs on this surface. Hearts Keeper was held up until the 200m after travelling one-out, oneback in the run and got up in the last stride for a placing. He continues to race honestly over this surface and trip this term. Money Money stalked the speed from a wide gate and grudgingly gave way to just miss a placing. He's caught the eye in both starts sprinting on this surface and won't be far off a winning run with a bit more racing experience. Joao Moreira gave early favourite Bond Elegance every chance in the box-seat and eased up on him 100m out when he failed to lift under the whip from the 250m. He has found it harder carrying more weight in his past three starts after a win in mid-January.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (520)-CONDUIT HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Metres

Whilst in the saddling stalls, VICTORY MUSIC had its left hind plate refitted.

VICTORY MUSIC was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.

HEARTS KEEPER began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped BOND ELEGANCE.

GREAT SKY shifted out at the start and bumped VICTORY MUSIC which became unbalanced.

Shortly after the start, BOLSHOI BALLET and RADIANT STEED bumped.

From the outside barrier, HELLO KIMBERLEY was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.

Approaching the 900 Metres, VICTORY MUSIC got its head on the side, shifted out and raced tight inside HURRICANE KID.

After this, VICTORY MUSIC travelled keenly and making the first turn near the 700 Metres lay out, resulting in HURRICANE KID being inconvenienced.

BOLSHOI BALLET lay out rounding the Home Turn.

Shortly after entering the Straight, BOND ELEGANCE shifted in towards the running rail and became unbalanced.

After the race, J Moreira reported that BOND ELEGANCE did not feel comfortable racing in amongst horses during the race.

MONEY MONEY lay in under pressure in the Straight.

Throughout the race, RADIANT STEED travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of SAKURA FIGHTER and HURRICANE KID immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

RADIANT STEED and BOLSHOI BALLET were sent for sampling.
