Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (328)-PING SHEK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Metres
PAKISTAN BABY shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of BUDDY BUNDY which became unbalanced.PEARL WIN and DOUBLE DOUBLE bumped at the start.
Shortly after the start, GREAT WISDOM and SMART SALUTE were checked when crowded for room between PAKISTAN BABY which was taken in by BUDDY BUNDY which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider and DOUBLE DOUBLE which was taken out by PEARL WIN which in turn was taken out by CONFUCIUS SPIRIT which got its head on the side and shifted out.
Although the interference suffered by SMART SALUTE and GREAT WISDOM was of some significance, the Stewards were satisfied that there was no rider error associated with this incident and accordingly no further action was taken.
From the outside barriers, FORMULA GALORE, WHISTLE UP and STARLIGHT were all steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
ROYALE ELEGANCE lost its right front plate after the 400 Metres.
Over the concluding stages, STARLIGHT improved to be racing tight inside the heels of ROYALE ELEGANCE.
Throughout the race, PAKISTAN BABY travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of FORMULA GALORE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
ROYALE ELEGANCE, POWERMAX and BUDDY BUNDY were sent for sampling.

Powermax kept plugging away to collar leader Buddy Bundy in the final bob for the win after stalking that one off in second from a tricky gate. It was an overdue win after catching the eye in three other starts and he has the ability to win another. Buddy Bundy is not an easy one to run down if he gets his own way up front which he did here. He appreciated the drop in class. Favourite Royale Elegance had every chance in the box-seat. He keeps running honest races but the weight is anchoring him on a win line. Confucius Spirit ran on steadily after travelling one off fore of midfield to just get the bob down in a blanket finish for fourth. He's running well but is at his best when carrying next-to-nothing. Hit late in betting, Starlight finished well near the inside after a patient ride from a wide gate. He's starting to find his feet and might want further than the 1,200m. Specked late, Pearl Win closed off better near the outside after pulling out following a one-off run beyond midfield. The mile may suit him better nowadays. Pakistan Baby found little in the straight drive after a deep run without cover the entire trip.
