Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (551)-THE CUHK ALUMNI CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1200Metres
HONG KONG CAPTAIN began awkwardly and bumped the inside of its gate, resulting in the horse losing ground.For some distance approaching and passing the 1000 Metres, NUMERO UNO was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SUPREME FALCON.
Passing the 200 Metres, MOMENTUM LUCKY drifted out under pressure and bumped HEALTHY JOYFUL.
Passing the 100 Metres, MOMENTUM LUCKY and HEALTHY JOYFUL again raced tight due to MOMENTUM LUCKY shifting out marginally.
Throughout the race, SMART SALUTE and BEST TANGO travelled wide and without cover.
When questioned, K C Leung stated that he had been instructed to obtain cover if possible on NUMERO UNO which is consistent with the manner in which the horse has been ridden of late.
HAMMER KING and MOMENTUM LUCKY were sent for sampling.

Hammer King was held up early straight after a rails' run three back, ducked-andweaved to gain a clear run 200m out and finished nicely to take control 100m out for a second effortless win in his past three starts. He's got more up his sleeve. Favourite Momentum Lucky enjoyed a soft time on the lead, was headed for the lead by Healthy Joyful at the 200m and fought back to grab second from that one 50m out. Healthy Joyful sat one off in second, worked to the front 200m out and grudgingly gave way in the run to the wire. Supreme Falcon kept up a steady gallop following a one-off run in fourth to fill a Quartet spot. Glorious Avenue made some ground after travelling fifth from the rear. Numero Uno only held his ground after sitting outside Hammer King in the run. Invincible Fresh was struggling 200m out following a box-seat run. Plunged late, debutant Happy Life made some ground without menacing two from the right.
