Racing Incident Report
Race One: (571)-CORNWALL HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Metres
POSITIVE ENERGY was withdrawn on 27.4.15 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter AMERICAN FAME.Before being allowed to race again, POSITIVE ENERGY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
DELIGHT FORTUNE was crowded for room on jumping between SECRET IDENTITY and COSTA DEL SOL, both of which began awkwardly.
SECRET IDENTITY, DELIGHT FORTUNE and COSTA DEL SOL were then shifted across behind runners from the outside barriers.
When being steadied in order to be shifted across behind runners, SECRET IDENTITY was crowded for room between DELIGHT FORTUNE and DIAMOND ANGEL which shifted out, resulting in both SECRET IDENTITY and DELIGHT FORTUNE being hampered.
DIAMOND ANGEL was subsequently left racing three wide and without cover.
Near the 900 Metres, K Teetan's (DIAMOND ANGEL) left foot slipped from the stirrup iron, resulting in him being inconvenienced for some distance before being able to regather the use of his iron.
Near the 75 Metres, PRECIOUS GEM shifted in and brushed ORIENTAL FANTASIA.
ORIENTAL FANTASIA, NATURAL EIGHT and PRECIOUS GEM were sent for sampling.

Natural Eight settled one out, one back, rallied six deep and got up 80m out for a maiden win. Precious Gem rolled forward three deep to park one off without cover outside the leader Oriental Fantasia, assumed the front 150m out and found one too good in the end. American Fame settled fifth along the fence, pushed out five deep upon straightening and ran on steadily to snatch third close to home. Favourite Oriental Fantasia went forward to lead from Forever Fun, cornered a length on top and was giving ground 100m out in a disappointing run. Young Happy settled worse than midfield along the rails, straightened three deep and made some ground without menacing. Friends Of Yan Oi failed to let down with two wider out after enjoying a nice run in midfield with cover in a puzzlingly weak effort. Diamond Angel faded after a prominent run without cover.
