Age: 47. Craig Williams is one horse racing's most respected riders. The Australian commenced his riding career at age 16 and since then he has traversed the globe with Group 1 wins in Australia, Hong Kong, Great Britain, Japan, France, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. He won the 2011 Hong Kong Vase with Dunaden - one of over 80 Group 1 triumphs for Williams worldwide. He has over 2,500 wins across his career with 123 of these in Hong Kong (as of 6 January, 2025). He last rode in Hong Kong in 2018/19, although during seasons 2003/04 and 2004/05, Williams partnered 32 and 35 wins, respectively, each campaign. He is a winner of the Melbourne Cup, Caulfield Cup, Cox Plate and Golden Slipper - Australian racing's 'Grand Slam'. In recent years, he is famed for assocations with standout Australian performers Mr Brightside, Bella Nipotina, Giga Kick and Behemoth.
