Recap by phillip woo
The well-backed Tomodachi Kokoroe won a thrilling battle with Bundle Of Charm after poking his head in front near the 100m for a fourth win over the Valley 1,200m from nine starts this term. He relished carrying the light weight despite rising into Class One following a Class Three success. Bundle Of Charm ran on strongly with two wider out after settling one off the rail in midfield. He's racing very well of late. Punted late, Beauty Charge ran on nicely to finish a close third after copping a bad check 150m out behind midfield. It was a season-best effort with a return to the Valley at his fifth start this term. Favourite Son Pak Fu came from last with one wider out to fill the frame. He left things too late. Following a prominent run, Adios was badly hampered 250m out and came up one-paced over the last 100m. He had an excuse and was in need of the run after bleeding in November. Majestic Knight was yielding ground over the last 100m after stalking the pace outside Kurpany from the widest draw. Duke Wai was beaten far in the end after biding his time at the rear of the field.
