Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (585) - HEALTHY COMMUNITY 1400M HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
After being placed in the barriers, TATTENHAM reared and got its right front leg over the starting gates.
Acting on veterinary advice that TATTENHAM was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
Before being allowed to race again, TATTENHAM will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
SETANTA jumped only fairly, shifted out and bumped TAMRA BLITZ.
SETANTA was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From a wide barrier, HAPPY DAILY was also shifted across behind runners shortly after the start and then raced keenly in the early stages.
Passing the 1300 Metres, TAMRA BLITZ was shifted in and improved to the inside of ERIMO (L Currie).
TAMRA BLITZ then raced tight to the inside of ERIMO for some distance thereafter and near the 1100 Metres was steadied when crowded by ERIMO.
L Currie was reprimanded.
TAMRA BLITZ then raced keenly in the middle stages and near the 800 Metres was steadied away from ERIMO.
MASTER HERO raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and lay out in the middle stages.
Passing the 300 Metres, M Chadwick (MASTER TORNADO) dropped his right rein before quickly regathering it.
Close to the finishing line, MAJESTIC COLOUR, which was inclined to lay out, was steadied away from HYPER DRAGON BALL which shifted in slightly.
After the race, M F Poon (COPARTNER AMBITION) reported that from a wide barrier he was instructed to endeavour to obtain a midfield position with cover.
He said on jumping COPARTNER AMBITION made contact with MASTER HERO and as a result he elected to shift COPARTNER AMBITION across behind runners in the early stages to find cover.
HYPER DRAGON BALL and MAJESTIC COLOUR were sent for sampling.

Favourite Hyper Dragon Ball took control 150m out after making his run three back on the fence for a first local win at his fifth start. The writing had been on the wall. Majestic Colour found one too good after moving to the front below the 300m after a box seat run. The big weight was the difference in the end. Prime Minister ran on steadily for third travelling outside the eventual winner in midfield. He was able to build on a placing last start at the Valley. Master Tornado kept plugging away to fill the frame after a oneout, one-back run. He's mixing his form. Copartner Ambition made ground late to finish next best after biding his time three from the rear. He's not far off a bottom. Master Hero ran on steadily without threatening from behind midfield. He'll be one to reckon with shortly in Class Four. Happy Daily made some ground late after a patient ride one from the rear. He gave them too much of a head start in a paceless race. Erimo didn't really get into the act travelling one off from behind midfield. Tattenham was withdrawn by order of stewards on vet advice.
