Race Seven: (277) - THE YAN CHAI TROPHY (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1200Meters

GOODBAN BANBANBANG was slow to begin and then was tightened for room between DINKUM and COPARTNER AMBITION, both of which shifted ground slightly.

MAJESTIC KNIGHT jumped awkwardly.

PINS PRINCE jumped awkwardly with its head up.

From the outside barrier, FLAGSHIP WARRIOR was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

SPEEDY MOUSE was steadied in the early stages and shifted in behind runners.

GOODBAN BANBANBANG got its head up and shifted out making the turn after passing the 900 Metres.

TEXAS MOON was held up from the 500 Metres before shifting back in to obtain clear running near the 400 Metres.

Near the 100 Metres, FLAGSHIP WARRIOR shifted out to obtain clear running from behind MAJESTIC KNIGHT which also shifted out under pressure.

This resulted in FLAGSHIP WARRIOR shifting out further and making contact with DINKUM which in turn shifted out, bumped the hindquarters of DROMBEG BANNER which was shifting in under pressure at that time.

TEXAS MOON, which was following, was checked when disappointed for running between DROMBEG BANNER and GLUCK RACER.

Also near the 100 Metres, COPARTNER AMBITION was steadied and altered course inwards to avoid the heels of FLAGSHIP WARRIOR which shifted out at that time.

Passing the 100 Metres, GLUCK RACER shifted out under pressure before being straightened, however, in doing so inconvenienced PUBLICIST which shifted out, resulting in SOLAR WINDS having to be steadied.

Throughout the race, PINS PRINCE and MY ECSTATIC travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of MY ECSTATIC immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, MY ECSTATIC will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

DINKUM, FLAGSHIP WARRIOR and BRILLIANT WAY were sent for sampling.
