Recap by phillip woo
Favourite Nimble Nimbus maintained his strong gallop after surging to the lead 200m out to register his third win from 14 starts. He continues to raise his game after his fine second campaign. Storm Legend ran on steadily from midfield to just grab second. He is still to salute but been the runner-up in three of his five starts over this Valley trip. King's Capital peaked on his run 50m out to fill a minor placing. He was sharper for his first-up run on opening day and suited by his rise in trip. Viva Hunter ended fourth after taking the lead from Master Hero 650m out following his pace-stalking run. He is likely on or near his mark. Zone D got going late when the race was over after travelling second last from his wide draw. He requires a stronger pace. Master Hero did not quite get the trip after clearing to the lead from his tricky gate inside the first 300m. He is a 1,400m horse. Savvy Kingman was a non-factor after his box-seat run. He is better over a longer trip and his big weight did not help him. Like his Hong King debut run at Sha Tin, Round The Earth never got into the act from the rear of the field. He will need time to settle in.
