Recap by phillip woo
Ping Hai Galaxy took the short route home, taking control 80m out after his lovely run in the box seat to land a betting move. He was able to bounce back after his hard run first up last month and become a four-time winner from 25 starts. Ridden for luck after his latest slow start, Seizing The Moment finished nicely to grab second despite having to switch off heels near the 200m. It was a good effort resuming over an inadequate trip. Heroic Master ran on well to finish a close third after his wide trip towards the rear of the compact field. It was a good effort on debut, and he has room to improve off his mark of 64. Super Axiom gave way grudgingly after dictating the run from a middle draw. He is likely on or near his mark. Favourite Equaletta Blitz was doing his best work late down the outside after making his run from wide and towards the rear. His big weight did not help, but he improves with racing usually. Party Warrior never landed a blow after his one-out, one-back run. It was a disappointing effort. Awesome Treasure faded tamely after prompting the pace from his tricky gate. He is a better prospect in Class Four.
