Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (277) - JAVA HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
EXCELLENT CHARIOT began awkwardly and then despite being ridden along in the early stage was slow to muster speed.
HERE COMES TED shifted out shortly after the start and bumped CALIFORNIA FOREST.
From the outside barriers, KILLER INSTINCT, FAMILY FOLKS and MAKE IT QUICK were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 1150 Metres, FARSHAD was bumped by RACING FIGHTER which shifted out.
After the 200 Metres, EXCELLENT CHARIOT raced tight between STOCK LEGEND and CALIFORNIA FOREST when improving into restricted room between those horses.
Over the concluding stages, KILLER INSTINCT was awkwardly placed behind CALIFORNIA FOREST.
Throughout the race, DIAMOND BRILLIANT travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, it was reported that MAKE IT QUICK had sustained an abrasion to the right hind cannon.
A veterinary inspection of FAMILY FOLKS, DIAMOND BRILLIANT and ESCAPE ROUTE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HERE COMES TED and WINNING METHOD were sent for sampling.

Favourite Here Comes Ted shot away 60m out after the rail opened up following a prominent run on the fence to send trainer David Ferraris away with a win on his final day. The horse deserved the win after catching the eye in two prior starts in Class Four. Winning Method ran on well to grab second after settling one off better than midfield. He's always a chance over this Valley trip. Excellent Chariot ran on nicely to fill a placing after settling worse than midfield on the fence after a sluggish start. He's close to a win after getting up for thirds in back-to-back runs over this Valley trip. Stock Legend weakened over the final 100m after assuming the lead 200m out from long-time leader California Forest following a pace-stalking run. He's not far off a bottom. California Forest gradually faded when headed 200m out shooting straight to the lead from gate two. It was a pleasing debut run. Farshad ran on late with menacing after a patient ride fourth from the rear. He's a miler. Family Folks ran on without menacing after making his run towards the rear from a wide draw. The combination of top weight and an outside gate was too much to overcome after a last-start win.
