Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (634) - SPECIAL CARGO HANDICAP - Class 5 - 2000Meters
MCMUNIGAL shifted out at the start and hampered AMAZING AGILITY which in turn shifted out and bumped THE JOY OF GIVING.
JIMMU shifted out at the start and brushed STAR WIN.
From wide barriers, CHEERFUL STAR, REEVE'S MUNTJAC, WEALTHY EMPLOYEE and SKY GEM were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.
When being steadied to obtain cover shortly after the start, AEROSONIC travelled keenly.
JOY N FUN LEGEND travelled very keenly for some distance after the 1700 Metres.
After the 1700 Metres, STAR WIN travelled wide and without cover.
In the middle stages, SOCCER MASTER travelled keenly in the lead.
Passing the 175 Metres, AMAZING AGILITY was awkwardly placed inside the heels of MCMUNIGAL.
Passing the 150 Metres, SKY GEM was awkwardly placed outside the heels of JOY N FUN LEGEND.
After the race, Z Purton was not able to offer any explanation for the disappointing performance of JIMMU which did not finish off the race.
A veterinary inspection of JIMMU immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of GOOD DAYS, CIRCUIT NUMBER ONE and SKY GEM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
JIMMU, MCMUNIGAL and THE JOY OF GIVING were sent for sampling.

Mcmunigal kept up a good gallop after hitting the front near the 100m following a dream run in the box-seat from gate two. It was clearly his best run from five starts this term with the claim well utilised. Veteran The Joy Of Giving closed well travelling better than midfield on the fence to grab second. He's been racing better of late and can bob up at any moment. Amazing Agility ran on steadily near the inside to fill a placing after biding his time four back on the fence. Old-timer's pretty honest over this Sha Tin trip. Specked late, Soccer Master held on reasonably well for fourth after setting brisk fractions in front trying the 2,000m for the first time. He might steal a race shortly. Cheerful Star got going late after peeling into the open three from the right 400m out following a patient ride fourth last on the fence. Joy Fun N Legend made some ground without menacing from towards the rear. It wasn't a bad run. Plunged late, Star Win was a non-factor after covering a tonne of ground towards the rear from a wide draw. He had an excuse.
