Racing Incident Report
Race Eleven: (642) - INCH ARRAN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
BEAUTY SPIRIT was withdrawn on 1.5.21 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore).
Before being allowed to race again, BEAUTY SPIRIT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
C P BRAVE was slow to begin.
LEAP OF FAITH began very awkwardly and then was crowded for room on jumping between SUPER ELEGANCE and UNCLE STEVE, both of which shifted ground.
From wide barriers, SUPER ELEGANCE and AMAZING NEWS were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Passing the 1200 Metres, C P BRAVE momentarily raced tight inside ROYAL AGILITY which shifted in before being directed back out to relieve the tightening to ROYAL AGILITY.
After this, ROYAL AGILITY commenced to travel and got its head up when awkwardly placed behind APACHE PASS.
After the 1200 Metres, SUPER ELEGANCE was shifted in away from the heels of AMAZING NEWS when that horse shifted in abruptly away from WIN WIN.
Near the 1100 Metres, WIN WIN was crowded for room between KASI FARASI and LEAP OF FAITH which, after initially being taken in by UNCLE STEVE (Apprentice C L Chau), then got its head on the side and shifted in away from that horse despite the efforts of its rider.
AMAZING NEWS, which was following WIN WIN, was hampered in consequence.
Apprentice Chau was told that whilst the racing manners of LEAP OF FAITH had contributed to this incident, nonetheless he was reprimanded and told to ensure that he is properly clear of the runners when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
After the 800 Metres, LEAP OF FAITH was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 100 Metres, SUPER ELEGANCE, which was closing off the race, improved to be racing close to the heels of KASI FARASI which then became unbalanced after being awkwardly placed behind that horse.
SUPER ELEGANCE was then shifted to the outside of KASI FARASI to continue improving.
A veterinary inspection of ALL FOR SOUTH immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, ALL FOR SOUTH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of AMAZING NEWS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FANTASTIC TREASURE and COMPASSION SPIRIT were sent for sampling.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Happy Valley Racemeeting on 28 April 2021 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of RED MAJESTY, WONDER EXPRESS, FAMILY FOLKS, TELECOM SMART, DONC JE SUIS, BRIGHT VISION, SWOT TROOPERS WIND, MANNA FROM HEAVEN, FA FA, PEARL CHARMPION, SNAP FIT, CALIFORNIA CONCORD, STAR OF WUYI, HERO STAR, SIGHT HERO, HELENE WISDOM STAR, EXCEPTIONAL NICE, BRILLIANT FORTUNE, HARNMONY AND RICH and LARSON revealed no apparent abnormality.

Racing Laboratory tests of ARROGANT, VINCY, XIANG BAI QI, FLYING MONKEY, SPLIT OF A SECOND, RED MAJESTY, WONDER BRAHMA, GREAT HARVEST, JADE THEATRE, MORE THAN ENOUGH, BRIGHT KID, LAND POWER, SAVVY KINGMAN, FEARLESS FIRE, SEAWEED FORTUNE, FIRE BALL, TELECOM ROCKET, FLAMING PASSION, OVERSUBSCRIBED, SPICY SO GOOD, CANTSTOPTHEFEELING, AMAZING ROCKY, THE RUNNER, CAPITAL STAR, EVER FORCE, HIGH RISE SOLDIER and SIMPLY FLUKE (21.4.21) proved negative.

Favourite Fantastic Treasure quickened nicely to win going away near the 100m following a rail run better than midfield to remain unbeaten in four starts. The future's very bright and he does appear to want a mile trip. Punted late, Compassion Spirit wore down Uncle Steve late for second after settling effectively one-out, one-back. He was able to take advantage of a better draw. Uncle Steve grudgingly gave way after hitting the front 300m out following a pace-stalking run from a wide draw. He's racing well without winning. Kasi Farasi ran on steadily to finish fourth without menacing the placegetters following a one-off trip in midfield. He's likely on or near his mark following a three-point penalty last start. C P Brave worked home reasonably well after settling third last following a slow start. It was an encouraging debut and he's better suited at a mile on his overseas form. Super Elegance ran on without menacing from towards the rear. He needed the run off a 133-day break and needs a longer trip. Well-backed, All For South was gone 200m out after getting his own way in front. He doesn't get the trip.
