Recap by phillip woo

Holy Heart kept on gamely after hitting the front 100m out following a lovely run in midfield on the fence. He had always promised and it was a superb training feat in his first run since April following a bleeding attack. Flying Quest closed strongly to finish a clear-cut second after straightening very wide out following a patient ride second from the rear. He's always a chance in Class Three over this Valley trip. Uncle Steve ran on well from behind midfield to fill a placing. It was a return to form with a switch to the Valley. Prince Of Frog gradually faded after dictating the run. He's slowly but surely coming to hand. Jolly Honour came up one-paced over the final 150m following a pace-stalking run from a wide gate. It wasn't a bad effort. Wealthy Delight didn't lift after a prominent run on the fence. He's not reliable. Favourite Sacred Ibis never fired travelling towards the rear following a sluggish start. It was a disappointing performance.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (172) - HARBOUR HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters

SACRED IBIS began only fairly.

CHARIZARD and TELECOM ELITE bumped at the start.

After this, TELECOM ELITE was steadied to obtain cover.

Also from a wide barrier, UNCLE STEVE was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.

Approaching the 1200 Metres, WIN WIN raced tight between HOLY HEART and CHARIZARD.

Near the 250 Metres, CHARIZARD raced tight outside HAPPY WARRIOR as that horse was shifted to the outside of HELENE WISDOM STAR.

Throughout the race, HELENE WISDOM STAR travelled wide and without cover.

C Schofield (FLYING QUEST) was warned against using his whip down the horse's shoulder.

After the race, A Badel stated that SACRED IBIS did not travel comfortably at any stage of the race in comparison when he had ridden it previously.

He said SACRED IBIS always felt unbalanced in the race and after following the eventual winner HOLY HEART rounding the Home Turn was not able to quicken with that horse and then did not finish off the race as anticipated.

A veterinary inspection of SACRED IBIS immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, SACRED IBIS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of WIN WIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

SACRED IBIS, HOLY HEART and FLYING QUEST were sent for sampling.
