Recap by phillip woo
Favourite Chancheng Prince drove to the lead 1,000m out, straightened a length on top and just held off the late surge of Enchanting Start for a second straight win. He's done well in his first campaign and should be a nice sort going forward. Enchanting Start just failed to get up after recovering from a slow start to travel prominent on the fence. He's made a nice impression in both starts and looks to be a decent sight when the penny does drop. Sunny Star ran on well to place after a one-off run in midfield. He's done very well in his first season and should be able to hold his own in open class next season. Super Ten was already stopping when having to steady 50m out following a breeze-punching run outside the eventual winner. He's still learning. Daily Charm made some ground without menacing after switching off from a wide gate to settle second last on the fence. It was an encouraging effort on debut. Hongkong Harmony just held his ground when asked for an effort after a wide with cover run in midfield. The hard run and extra 200m took its toll for the second time starter.
