Recap by phillip woo
Liverbird Star kept on gamely for the win after hitting the front 300m out tracking the leader one off in second and third. He had been threatening to salute for a long time and got things run to suit in a depthless race. In a blanket finish for the minors, Money Winner ran on nicely with one wider out after a patient ride second from the rear to grab second in the dying stages. It was a good effort despite a race run to suit those up front after tipping his hat last start. Favourite Regency Gem rallied well travelling third from the rear to make it close for the Quinella spot. He's honest but has trouble winning. Soccer Master peaked on his run 50m out to just lose a placing after looming a live chance 200m out following a midfield run. He's not far off a bottom. Winwin Thirtythree ran on steadily without menacing from the rear of the field. He needs a faster pace. Majestic Endeavour had every chance chasing the leader Tigerlad on the fence.
